Yesterday we lost a true bandsman, Mark Singleton. Mark had been involved with The Marple Band since he was a boy and many of us have known Mark for many years. He was always very welcoming to new players, making them feel instantly at home, and a large part of Marples recent successes. He's been instrumental in raising thousands of pounds for Marple and for many other bands both here in the Northwest and in the Midlands from his time at The Square and Compass in Darley Dale.
We are all deeply saddened at his sudden passing and offer our sincere condolences to Anita, and all of Marks family and friends at this extremely sad time. ... See MoreSee Less
