For the second year running The Marple Band has qualified to compete at the National Brass Band Championships to be held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 20th September.

On March 9th the band competed in the second section of the North West Area qualifying championships, having being promoted from third section in January 2014. Continue Reading

Well, what a start to 2014. It’s only just February and the band has performed to over 2500 people so far!

Late last year the band were approached by Cheadle Hulme Amateur Dramatics Society (CHADS) and were asked to be the band in the stage play of Brassed Off. Of course we agreed as we had a track record of being such band. Continue Reading
